Hi, I’m Rachel.

I work with queer folks and people healing from harmful religious environments who are navigating the complicated process of untangling identity, faith, and belonging.

I’m an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist providing therapy for clients across California at TheraQ under the supervision of Dr. Katie Moore, Psy.D. (#32941).

I received my Marriage and Family Therapy Master’s degree at University of La Verne and have worked in community mental health, working with adults who have experienced intimate partner violence and elderly abuse, as well as with children who experienced trauma. I have received specialized training for queer folks through working with a local LGBTQIA resource center, and through my current work at TheraQ. I currently provide support for those in the queer community, including those who identified as gay, bisexual, pansexual, lesbian, non-binary, trans, and those exploring. I also have experience working with people who are ethically non-monogamous (ENM), poly, and are part of the kink communities.

On a more personal note,

When I am not in the therapist chair, you can find me:

  • Cuddling with my dog, Teddy, and cats Finnegan and Millie

  • Traveling the world with my wife

  • Exploring new shops and neighborhoods in LA

  • Being an absolute nerd and either playing Settlers of Catan, DND, or Magic the Gathering

If you’re ready to untangle harmful beliefs and reconnect with who you truly are, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

Finding the right therapist is one of the most important parts of starting therapy. That’s why I offer a free 15-minute consultation where we can connect, answer your questions, and see if we feel like a good fit.
